The gang is all here, except the orange (it was past fresh).  I tried to paint them carefully, trying not to muddy or over work them.

This Saturdays painting but it was too late to take a pic. The glass bead was harder then it looked, and it is something I try again later.

Glass Pear

Thought I would try glass.  I started the orginal composition and wiped it. Changed it to this and had problems with the glass then started to over work it. I think I will just paint fruit til I get it!

Finally a Start

 Last night I searched for help on the DPW site and read some tips. One was going back and doing the timed excercises. Today was the first day I feel like I did something!

Two twenty minute sessions, didn't include set up, toning, or blocking it. Now I hope can keep it loose!

OK, Give Me Your Wallet

Painted over it!!!!!!!

Thought I would try painting a utensil (a metal knife).  When I finished today, this title would not go away. In fact I thought about cutting a slice out of the apple! This will be a !Paint over it"! I am just not getting to where I should be, any suggestion????

I finished it yesterday but it was too dark to take a pic.  I like it, but can't sem to let go on the brush work!

retook the pic in better light, this seems better today. My husband thought this was going to be a baked dessert, ...I'll make him a cake!

Gourd and wood ball

Three colors again, white, black, and burt sienna. I'm still dabbing too much, I think. Anyone?

Back to the basics

Blue black and white. Great light today, gave myself half hour-ish. I actually like this one the best, it is  closer to what I'm suppost to be doing.

The light was still bad, took out the material that I couldn'y see last night and tried some crumpled wax paper. Tomorrow if I can't start earlier and the light is bad, I will try a value study.

Better than yesterday

This one came out better today, I found a better medium that doesn't dry out the thicker paint.  The paint is finally moving almost the way it should, now I have to practice the brush strokes.

Ok, I started from scratch on this one, didn't finsh.  I took a pic to post it, then wiped it off!!

      I'm counting these as my daily paintings.  They are what I have been working on to finish them up for a show. I'm really bad at titles so if anyone has any ideas?? I'm trying different styles from my usaual here.

This one was from a photo from China this was one of the most happiest people, and had such inner beauty.

This is Em she is three and is usually very lighthearted and bubbly. She was watching a small new- walker "baby" do something where it was obvious even to Em she was going to fall. I called her name and clicked.

Calling it finished

Since I'm in the finishing mode, I went back and finished this from the workshop. I tried to keep it fresh and not overwork it, any feed back?

Starting the New Year!

I finished this drawing of goofy Katie. Her mom would have rather that I had picked a different picture of Kate to draw, but I loved this face!! I guess I feel it tells more about Kate's personality.
